Who am I?

Profile

I am interested in scientific research in materials science, and I have a great passion for developing renewable energy technologies. My academic path has been shaped by my interest in understanding the role of materials in energy harvesting and sustainability.

Currently, my research focuses on perovskite solar cells, where I work on improving efficiency and stability by combining experimental studies with theoretical tools such as density functional theory (DFT), allowing this dual approach to link fundamental understanding with practical applications in the development of third-generation solar cells.

In addition to research, I have a passion for scientific communication, and I have experience in simplifying complex scientific concepts, mentoring students, and developing educational content that connects theory with real-world applications. My broader vision is to contribute not only to research but also to education and the dissemination of science.

Projects

Comprehensive characterization of an unknown ceramic powder using multi-technique analysis.

Leader of the group to analyze physical properties, phase composition, crystal structure, thermal behavior, surface morphology, and chemical composition of an unknown ceramic powder using FTIR, XRD, SEM, and DSC.

Key findings included gypsum (67.3%) and anhydrite (32.7%) phases, an endothermic peak at 120°C (DSC), porosity presence in SEM, and identification of functional groups (FTIR).

Structural and Electrical Properties of LLZO co-doped with Ba and Ta.

Investigated the ionic conductivity of garnet-type solid electrolyte LLBZTO under varying lithium excess compositions and sintering conditions to enhance solid-state battery performance.

Achieved a high room-temperature ionic conductivity of 1.6 × 10^−4 S/cm, and 0.24 eV activation energy, using a 45% Li-excess composition sintered at 1100◦C, demonstrating the critical role of Li content and thermal processing on conductivity.

Utilized impedance spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to correlate microstructure and lithium-ion transport, contributing to the development of safer and more efficient solid-state lithium-ion batteries.
